I was hoping I could bring a Karen worker back with me to BYT this time, as we wanted BletJhaw to continue studying the Thai language, however nobody was found to be available.

I also really want my people in the jungles to see that there are other SDAs who are excited about obeying the 10 commandments and are getting ready for heaven besides BletJhaw and I! I felt that after 6 years the people were ready for evangelistic meetings.

Pastor Jimmy Shwe at Chapel Hill N. Carolina, invited me to preach in his Karen church October 29. He is a church planting consultant for the North American Division and involved in Adventist Refugee and Immigrant Ministries. This was truly a divine appointment!  This energetic, earnest worker for God is a successful church planter, and has started many schools and SDA churches along the Thai and Burma border, and now also in America! I was so privileged to stay in his house and get to know him and his lovely family. We discussed the needs in BYT and I asked him if he could come and do an evangelistic series in BYT. He has agreed to do this, busy as he is,
and I am overjoyed at the plans we laid for December 7, 2017!  My heart is overflowing with thankfulness to God!

I have found so much support from the American people during this furlough! I am so thankful for their companionship and prayers! My heart is overflowing with joy as I return to Thailand to resume my work, knowing that God will continue to do great things for the Karen people in the mountains!

Thank you for your continued prayers!
